The CAR Conference/Congress is a traditional scientific event initiated by University of Pitesti in 1978. The city of Pitesti is one of the main pillars of the national automotive industry, Dacia automotive plant created in 1966 being located at 15 km away from the city. Therefore, CAR Conference/Congress aimed and still aims to bring together specialists from academia and industry to present their achievements and establish opportunities for collaboration in the field of automotive and transport engineering.
